This is to inform American citizens in Afghanistan that, for security reasons pursuant to today's VBIED attack against a U.S. Embassy convoy, the Consular Section will be closed for normal operations tomorrow, March 20. However, American citizens requiring emergency assistance should contact the Consular Section at 0700-201-908 or 0700-108-001.
As previously announced, the U.S. Embassy will be closed for the Afghan holiday Nawrooz on Wednesday, March 21.
