Welcome
The American Citizen Services (ACS) Unit at the U.S. Embassy in Kabul provides assistance to U.S. citizens residing or traveling in Afghanistan.
We assist U.S. citizens with passports, reports of birth abroad, or notary services and other citizen services. You must have an appointment to visit the ACS Unit.
The ACS Unit is closed on U.S. and Afghan holidays.
Fees can only be paid in U.S. dollars, in cash.

We answer the ACS line from Sunday through Thursday from 8:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 16:00 (excluding U.S. and Afghan holidays).
