Visiting Senators Meet with Governor Mangal of Helmand
On May 24, a delegation of Senators including Sen. Thomas Carper (D-DE), Sen. Mark Udall (D-CO), Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Sen. Kay Hagan (D-NC) and Sen. Mark Begich (D-AK), met with Governor Mangal in Helmand. The senators and the governor discussed development, security and counter narcotics issues in Helmand, and thanked the governor for his efforts in the province.
