Public Affairs Section
The Public Affairs Section (PAS) is a key media and cultural link between the people of the United States and Afghanistan. The PAS houses both the Press Office and the Cultural Affairs Office. It advocates and explains American policy on issues of bilateral, regional and global interest to its Afghan audiences. PAS officers cooperate closely with American agencies and organizations. The PAS also works closely with Afghan institutions, individuals, and organizations to promote mutual understanding between the U.S. and Afghanistan.
