Mission Speakers Program
On Thursday, March 22, 2012, Management Counselor Alaina Teplitz led a discussion on best-practices for leading and managing large organizations, as part of the Public Affairs Section’s Mission Speakers Program, in support of Women’s History Month. The theme of this event was “Management and Leadership,” for an audience that was comprised of directors, managers and program officers of Afghan NGOs, who are also USG-exchange program alumni. The goal of this event was to foster a cross-cultural exchange of experiences, and for participants to take advantage of this activity to expand their partnership and collaborative relationships. At the conclusion of this event, the Cultural Affairs Section’s Alumni Engagement team spoke to the group about Public Affairs initiatives which expand the Mission’s alumni outreach.
