Embassy Hosts Women's Rights Leaders

On July 17, Ambassador Crocker hosted a reception at the US Embassy to honor “individuals who have worked tirelessly to advance women’s rights.”  The reception brought together prominent men and women from across Afghanistan engaged in women’s rights, including Tokyo civil society delegates, women’s rights activists, and GIRoA officials to encourage post-Tokyo collaboration.  In his remarks, Crocker praised the Tokyo civil society process and reassured participants of continued USG commitment to women’s rights.
