Ambassador Eikenberry visits bazaar in Lashkar Gah, Helmand
Ambassador Karl Eikenberry and Minister Mohammed Ehsan Zia, of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, visited Lashkar Gah today to discuss civilian operations with Governor Gulab Mangal and civilians from the Helmand PRT. During his walk through the Lashkar Gah bazaar, Eikenberry stopped to buy tea, joked with school children and talked with shopkeepers about security and civilian-led development projects in Helmand.
