American Direct-Hire / Limited Appointment

U. S. federal agencies represented at Embassy Kabul fill these positions in the United States. Direct-Hire positions are full-time, career positions.  Normally, American citizen employees of these agencies fill direct-hire positions.  Limited Non-career Appointment (LNA) positions are limited in time – usually for about one year – and are a way for people with specialized skills to contribute to the effort.
