American Citizen Registration
We have no higher goal than the protection of American citizens. If you're visiting Afghanistan, please register with us. Registration is to your advantage in that it will enable us to locate you in case of an emergency, and helps keep us better informed of the number and location of American citizens in the event of an emergency. We are required by law to keep any information you give us completely confidential, and will release it only when authorized by you to do so.
Please notice that the registration form includes the Privacy Act Statement and Authorization for Release of Information Under the Privacy Act. Please check the appropriate boxes.

You can also register at the U.S. Embassy in Kabul using the paper registration form. Either download the form from this site or pick one up at the Embassy, fill it out and return it to the Consular Section with an original signature and a photocopy of your passport.
